Itinerary
Day one: Pick up from airport or at the hotel
Morning pick up from your hotel or at the Kigali international airport by Albertine Tours driver/guide. Meet and greet, tour briefing to follow and then head straight to Nyungwe national park situated in southern part of Rwanda on your way enjoy country side green hills with a beautiful scenic view all the way from Kigali into the park. Lunch in Butare town. Proceed to the park for your first activity which is canopy walk at Uwinka overlook.
Optional activity to do on the way: Visit King’s palace in Nyanza, National museum of Rwanda in Butare.
Accommodation: Chimpanzee lodge
Day two: Chimpanzee trekking day – transfer back to Kigali
On this day, wake up very early in the morning at 430 have a hot cup of coffee of Rwanda, meet your driver/guide in the parking and transfer you to meet with the park guide and other members in the group of tracker and continues to the starting point of hiking in Cyamudongo, the drive takes 1h30 minutes, then start your hike to find the chimps in their location, on reaching where they are, immediately start taking photos as well as listening to information about them from the guide. You will spend one hour and then walk down to meet your driver in the parking yard and then drive back to the hotel to refresh and have lunch at the lodge before heading back to Kigali.
